    How To Trade It

    Here we show both ABC Bullish and ABC Bearish triangle formations with using Semafor and ABC Pattern Indicator in Meta Trader 4 trading platform. The swing sides (AB and BC) in ABC patterns are forming in symmetrical proportions both in price and time. The ABC bullish triangle is formed after a prolonged prior down trend, whereas bearish ABC triangle is formed after a prior uptrend.

  • After an ABC pattern is completed, it is advisable to wait for the pattern to confirm a reversal signal using any momentum-based indicator or price confirmation mechanisms.

    There are various confirmations and trade entry methods, but one of the best methods is when the price retest support level at “C” in an ABC bullish pattern or resist level at “C” in an ABC bearish pattern.
    Pattern confluences with technical analysis of support/resistance areas, supply/demand zones, moving averages and other market context elements. They are used to identify and validate profitable and safer entries.

  • The most simple and successful strategy for placing the Take profits is to put them on previous support/resistance levels.

    Statistic success rate of closing the Take Profit(TP) is higher than 75%.

  • A “Stop” is placed a few pips (based on risk/reward ratio) below C (if bullish) or a few ticks above C (if bearish) levels.

    For more safe entries place the Stop Loss(SL) out of the ABC Triangle formation.
